🦎 i-Chameleon Shop — Thank You!

A big thank you to everyone who supported our week at the i-Chameleon shop in Halesworth this August. The shop kindly makes its space available for local charities and community groups to use, and our week there was a great success, thanks to everyone who called in, browsed, chipped in, or simply stopped for a chat.

It's become a lovely annual fixture for us, and we're already looking forward to being back there next August. Thank you to the i-Chameleon team for hosting us, and to everyone who gave their time to help run the shop for the week.

💙 Thank You to Everyone

None of what HDCF does would be possible without the generosity and hard work of our volunteers, donors, and supporters. Whether you've given your time, made a donation, attended an event, or simply spread the word about what we do, please know it makes a real difference to local people living with dementia and their carers. Thank you, from all of us.

🕊️ Remembering HDCF in Your Will

Some of our supporters choose to remember HDCF when writing or updating their will, as a way of making sure local families continue to have somewhere to turn in the years ahead. It's a deeply personal decision, and not one we'd ever want to press anyone on.

Gifts to national charities such as the Alzheimer's Society do wonderful work and are never something to be dismissed, they fund vital research and support on a huge scale. But a gift to a small local organisation like HDCF stays right here in Halesworth, going directly to the people you may have sat alongside at the Day Centre or the Memory Café, so its impact is felt close to home, often more immediately and more visibly.

If it's something you've thought about, or would simply like to know more about how it works, please do get in touch in confidence. We're always happy to talk it through, with no obligation at all.

🤝 Volunteers Needed

We're currently looking for a little extra help in a few areas:

Events and fundraising — helping plan and run get-togethers and fundraising activities through the year.

Trustees — we're keen to hear from anyone interested in joining our board and helping guide the charity's future. No specific experience is required, just enthusiasm and a bit of time.

Day Centre Volunteers – Help us at the day centre on Wednesdays or Fridays, great fun and really rewarding!

If this sounds like you, or you'd just like to find out more before deciding, please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
